With TicknCook, printing fits into a precise moment of your production process: receipts or labels print exactly at the step where you need them. Printing can be set to automatic, triggered by the production step, or to manual, launched by your team when they need it. Restaurants that need a paper ticket at the end of production can go fully digital during preparation, with the KDS, and bring paper into the workflow only at the very end. No more lost tickets, dirty tickets or mix-ups.
TicknCook prints kitchen tickets and labels on Epson, Zebra and Seiko (SII) printers, and on most standard receipt printers. Which connections you can use depends on how you run TicknCook: the app on an Android tablet, the app on an iPad, or TicknCook in a web browser.
Printer compatibility
Receipt paper prints a full order ticket. Sticky labels print one adhesive label per product, to stick on each item. Receipt printers can still print one ticket per product, cut after each one, on plain paper.
A connection shown in the table applies only when the printer model itself has it: check its specification sheet for Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth or USB. Be careful: the same model can come with or without a given connection, depending on the options chosen when it was bought. This is very common with Zebra printers: the ZD230, for example, is sold as USB + Ethernet, USB + Bluetooth, or USB + Wi-Fi + Bluetooth.
Good to know
- Suggested models are the ones we recommend to get started. The other models listed use the same drivers and are supported too.
- Bluetooth printers are paired once in the tablet’s Bluetooth settings, then selected in TicknCook.
- Wi-Fi and Ethernet work the same way: the printer just needs to be on the same network as the tablet.
